3.4. Drug-gene and disease-gene interactions

Overlapping DEGs were also related to other diseases, such as hyperglycemia, metabolic
acidosis, and lung neoplasm (Figure 6). Among all the overlapping DEGs, ZMPSTE24 was related

to most diseases. In addition, the DSigDB database was used to identify candidate drugs that interact

with overlapping DEGs. The top 10 drugs with the most significant potential were lanatoside C,

digoxin, GW-8510, doxorubicin, daunorubicin, proscillaridin, anisomycin, helveticoside, ouabain,

and bisacodyl (Table 4).
